Wood

Wood brings warmth and natural tactility to our collection. For Arcadia, we use teak – a durable wood with a distinctive grain and a natural ability to withstand changing conditions, making it well suited for both indoor and outdoor use.

Why We Use Teak

Teak is naturally rich in oils, which help protect the wood and contribute to its durability.

Colour and grain vary naturally from one piece of wood to another. These variations are an inherent part of working with a natural material.

How Teak Develops a Natural Patina

Teak responds naturally to light, weather and everyday use, and its appearance will gradually change over time.

When left untreated outdoors, the original warm, golden colour will develop into a silvery-grey patina. This is a natural part of the ageing process and does not affect the durability of the wood.

How to Clean & Care for Teak

Teak is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Clean with a soft cloth or brush using mild soapy water. If you prefer to maintain the original warm, golden tone, teak oil can be applied periodically. If left untreated, the wood will naturally develop its characteristic silvery-grey patina.
